Will my Vanuatu Marriage be legal?
Yes, but as in most jurisdictions, there are some legal requirements that must be met. To find out more, visit our legal info page.
What is the most unusual Wedding I can have?
This is not for us to say - the choice is yours. What's ideal for some could be a nightmare for others! For example, you might be into sky-diving or scuba diving in which case, getting married in mid-air or 15 metres under water might be right up your alley! It's often not what the wedding couple want to do - it's whether the rest of the bridal party can handle it! And of course... your budget!
What will the weather be like?
The beauty of Vanuatu is that it has a tropical climate which means it is seldom cold. Your Wedding Coordinator will work with you to advise the best times of the year and day to capture your precious memories. As experienced wedding planners, we always have a wet-weather back-up plan.
When should we send out invitations?
Give your guests as much notice as possible is crucial. This means sending out the invitations early or at the very least, sending out a 'Save the Date' notice 12 months in advance. It's also a good idea to give them the names and contact details of Travel Agents who can assist with guest accommodation - they may be able to give your guests a better deal or upgrades for group bookings. We can give you recommendations on this also.
What transportation is available?
Your wedding coordinator will make recommendations and any necessary arrangements for getting you and your guests to the ceremony and reception.
Any other advice?
- From experience, we advise that you don't drink Kava if you have heart problems or suffer from epilepsy.
- Ni Vanuatu are a conservative culture so please be sure to dress appropriately when in public.
- Remember Vanuatu is a developing country so it does not have all the wonderful items on hand like a first world country. The more preparation time, the better.
